What does esports have to do with fast food and shampoo in Singapore?

Mobile Legends (MLBB) developer MOONTON Games and Zenway Productions announced on Wednesday (6 September) the lineup of sponsors for the upcoming MLBB Professional League (MPL) Singapore Season 6 — which will include McDonald's Singapore as its presenting partner.

As part of the sponsorship, McDonald's will offer fans of MPL SG the "Turn Gold into Diamonds" digital campaign, which gives them the chance to win 1,500 Diamonds with every purchase of a bucket of Chicken McCrispy, which starts alongside the launch of Season 6 on Saturday (9 September).

Chicken McCrispy McDelivery promo codes will also pop up during the MPL SG Season 6 livestreams.

Aside from McDonald's, MPL SG Season 6's sponsor lineup also includes Head & Shoulders as a first-time sponsor while OSIM returns for a fourth season.

MPL SG's partnership with Head & Shoulders will see MLBB heroes Tigreal and Eudora grace two Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo variants.

MLBB fans can win coins, skins, and exclusive merchandise with each purchase.

"We're delighted to announce MPL SG's strategic partnerships with some of Singapore's best-loved brands in McDonald's, Head & Shoulders, and OSIM," Daniel Chew, Head of Esports for Singapore at MOONTON Games, said in a press release.

"This is a resounding validation of the league's reach and value proposition, and we look forward to teaming up in our shared mission to further elevate our nation's esports ecosystem," he added.

MPL SG Season 6 will run from 9 September to 22 October, starting with the Regular Season from 9 to 30 September with the Playoffs taking place from 20 to 22 October. It will bring together the nation's top teams to compete for a prize pool of S$100,000.

The winner of MPL SG Season 6 will earn the right to represent Singapore at the M5 World Championship in the Philippines, where the best teams in the world will battle for a slice of the US$900,000 (S$1,200,000) pot and the right to be called MLBB world champions.
