Josie Ho & Hilary Tsui threaten to sue

15 Dec – It was revealed that the group of artistes that were allegedly involved in Kenny Wee's restaurant scandal have decided to counterattack the businessman, citing defamation and slander.

According to Popular Asians, recently, a press conference was held by several stars and their lawyers, which included Hilary Tsui, Josie Ho, Grace Ip, Sam Lee and Convoy Chan, to dispel the drug rumours and announce their decision to take legal action.

At the press conference, Josie Ho issued her legal statement, denying the use of drugs by her or by anybody else in the Taiwan Yiping Huadiao Chicken restaurant. She also denied allegations behaving intimately with another actor despite being married and disclosed that she has never threatened Kenny in any way.

The actress also speculated that the businessman's accusations may be caused by his anger towards the group after they complained about his restaurant overcharging its customers.

Josie also stated, "Kenny has been delivering conflicting accounts of the incident. Contrary to his previous claims, Kenny now acknowledges that he has not seen any drug related incident in his restaurant, and never had the possession of a video clip."

According to her lawyer, the negative publicity generated by Kenny's false accusation is beyond "blatant defamation" and can be considered a serious case of "injurious falsehood".

Meanwhile, Hilary Tsui also released a statement during the press conference, clarifying that she was not at the police station supplying information for investigation, but to press charges.
