Fitness giant adidas joins hands with Finnish brands Moomin and Marimekko
From adidas shoes to tee dresses to caps and hoodies, Scandinavian designs are now on our fitness gear, and fit right into our lifestyle
There’s something about Scandinavian designs that appeals to us all, from functional and minimalist Scandinavian furniture to vibrant Marimekko that has taken the fashion, and stationery world by storm; to the animated series Moomin World which has a place in the hearts of the young and old. Even sports giant Adidas has collaborated time and again with Marimekko, and now Moomins have taken over our sports paraphernalia too.
Built on a small island in southwestern Finland, the Moomin world teaches us to embrace life's simple things, love nature, be adventurous, and remain hopeful above all else. These universal themes have made Finnish artist and author Tove Jansson’s Moomin characters popular and beloved.

They embody these themes perfectly. We wanted to create a collection that celebrated the playful and adventurous nature of the Moomins and bring this to life by using the beautiful and iconic artworks across our range."
