And now the platform is helping users to spice up their sex lives with with advice posts gaining millions of viewers. The hashtag #seksadvice, for example, (used to avoid videos being taken down due to the platform's dislike of the word), has as many as 33.7million at this moment.

There are hundreds of tips to be found aimed at improving your time in the bedroom, from spicing up foreplay to achieving 'coregasm'.

Lovehoney sex therapist Dr Janet Brito has shared which of these hacks actually work.

For example, sex advice TikToker Nurse Ria previously posted that pressing down on a woman's stomach during sex can stimulate the G-spot, getting more than 40 million views at the time.

Commenting on this, Brito says, "The stomach sex hack may work for some, but the most important thing is to experiment, as some folks may experience more sensation around other areas of the pelvis. Trying new moves to create pleasurable sensations is always a good idea, with consent of course."

The sex pillow hack, meanwhile, where a pillow is placed under the woman's pelvis to increase pleasure, has had more than 20 million views on TikTok.

"The sex pillow hack allows for an interior pelvic tilt, or for the pelvis to angle upwards, making penetrative sex more comfortable, easier to experiment with various angles, and allowing for deeper penetration," says Brito.

In the masturbation technique on the social network platform, which has had more than 13 million views, the user explains that self-gratification should be done by following a similar technique to gently rubbing the yolk of an egg in circular motions. It explains that similar to a yolk breaking, you may have pushed too hard and should apply this gentle technique for masturbation.

Brito says, "This masturbation technique is a helpful suggestion for both internal and external stimulation. Most importantly, it is best to obtain consent first and ask the receiver how they want to be stimulated."

The four-minute foreplay tip suggests setting a four-minute timer where you take turns and have four minutes each to spice up foreplay.

"Four minute foreplay works with consent and for those couples who are comfortable with adventure," explains Brito. "Novelty helps to spice things up in the bedroom and rediscover each other."

A coregasm is the possibility of experiencing an orgasm while exercising your abs, and the hack has gone viral on TikTok with more than 16.4 million views for the hashtag.

"Coregasms work for non-sexual orgasms due to an individual's anatomy and physiology, headspace at the time of the exercise, and repetitive motion of exercise," says Brito, again offering a professional take. "They are not necessarily linked to erotic content, but more associated to repetitive body movements."

The hashtag #tantric has 28 million views on TikTok. In one video the user explains that tantric sex is a form of sexual meditation in which partners are encouraged to enjoy their deepest sensations during sex.

Brito comments, "Tantric sex may help folk who are anxious about sexual performance to move away from thinking about sex to being in their bodies. By being curious about one's body's sensations, and practicing a non-judgmental stance, tantric sex helps folk to reframe sex from a performative activity to a pleasure-based one."
