There are more considerations right now than before when it comes to travel, but thankfully, things like flights, hotel bookings, activities, registration of ART/PCR tests and even data plans are now easier to reserve online than ever.

This brings us to the concept of eSims, basically, sim cards that no longer have a corporeal form. Traditionally, a SIM – acronym for Subscriber Identity Module – is a small plastic card that you slot into your mobile phone, which allows you to make and receive calls and texts, and use data on your phone. To switch to another country's provider, you buy a sim card from your travel destination and replace the existing SIM in your phone. While the process is fairly straightforward, you run the risk of losing your original sim card, as well as having to go through the hassle of collecting it at your travel destination.

Now, you don't even need to do that. eSims allow you to subscribe to your travel destination's data platform, and you can hit the ground running after subscription and setting up on your phone. The wonderful thing about eSims is that they're almost as competitively priced as the physical sim cards, without any hassles generally.
