'PPAP' star Piko-Taro marries model girlfriend 15 years his junior

Japanese YouTube sensation Piko Taro, who is best known for his 2016 viral hit, “PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen)”, announced on Friday (4 August) that he has married his 29-year-old model girlfriend, Hitomi Yasueda.
Piko-Taro, whose real name is Kazuhito Kosaka, said on his blog that he registered for marriage with his girlfriend on Thursday.
Some fans of Piko-Taro admitted to being confused by this news, as he has mentioned his ‘wife, Tami’, several times previously. But according to the comedian Kosaka who created the ‘Piko-Taro’ alter ego, those were just part of his comedy act.
‘Tami’ is described by Piko-Taro as a 78-year-old woman he met in a hospital restroom who has piranha-like teeth.
Yasueda is a gravure model who is also active on Instagram.
According to Kyodo News, 44-year-old Kosaka became acquainted with Yasueda though work, and they had already been seeing each other since 2013.
