Transforming their grounds into a whimsical wonderland for Christmas, Capitol Singapore and Chijmes will be holding festivities to celebrate the holiday season, including dining under the stars in igloo-like bubble domes, 3D trick-eye installations, and culinary workshops.

From now to 31 December, visitors to the two adjacently sited properties can enjoy a series of fun-filled festivities, and gorgeous Instagrammable sights that draw inspirations from a Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, in decorations.

At Capitol Singapore’s Outdoor Plaza, themed the Land of Snowflakes, visitors will be greeted by Nutcracker soldiers and a gripping 3D trick-eye art installation. Each evening, this magical space turns dreams of a white Christmas into reality with “snowfall” happening at 7:30pm, 8:30pm, and 9:30pm. An 8-metre tall Capitol Kempinski Singing Tree decorated with life-sized characters from The Nutcracker will also be singing carols via video broadcast at 8pm and 9pm.

New this year are the igloo-like bubble domes at Capitol Singapore’s Outdoor Plaza and Chijmes Lawn, each location providing a unique dining experience. At the Outdoor Plaza, the air-conditioned domes are decked up for Christmas, providing a safe and intimate space for friends and families, while serving as the perfect backdrop for photos.

Availability of domes and board games are on a first-come-first-served basis, and valid only with food and/or beverages purchased from Capitol Singapore outlets and Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski restaurants. Booking can be done online and is limited to two hours each.

The celebration will also be brought online this year with an online Christmas portal featuring a Christmas market selling an assortment of Christmas-themed items and food products, as well as various workshops for all ages.
