If you’re planning a staycation, it may be a good idea to try newly opened hotels. Some hotels may offer an opening special price, which means you can experience the fresh amenities the hotel has to offer for less.

Even if there is no special promotion, it’s still a great feeling to step into a newly renovated room. There is also joy in being an “early adopter” before the majority and laggards join in the trend.

1. Artyzen Singapore

Inspired by Singapore’s culture, colours, and flavours, Artyzen Singapore is a fresh interpretation of luxury. The site of this 142-room contemporary hotel was once named Villa Marie, the sprawling tropical-garden mansion of the grandson of Singapore philanthropist Tan Tock Seng.

2. Robertson House

Take a step back in time to catch a glimpse of British colonial Singapore through the eyes of Dr Murray Robertson, a prominent Municipal Councillor during the time British colonial Singapore was an entrepôt port from 1819 to 1941. The Robertson House boasts of design inspirations drawn from Singapore’s rich heritage, with old black and white heritage photos adorning both the rooms and public spaces.

Remember Jiak Kim Street? It's no longer a club, but a serviced residence for people looking at mid-term living solutions. These villas, the first of their kind in Singapore, will be set on a hill slope, within forested vegetation and amidst a canopy of trees, and offer park and reservoir views. 9. Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa — opening in the second half of 2024

Over 135 years after the original Raffles opened its doors, the second Raffles in Singapore will be an all-villa resort set in over 100,000 square metres of sprawling tropical gardens with views over the South China Sea. Inspired by the original Raffles Hotel which was conceived as a beachfront property, Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa will return the brand to the beach on a pristine piece of land on Sentosa Island.

10. The Standard, Singapore — opening in the first quarter of 2024

The boutique hotel brand from Los Angeles well-loved by celebrities will open on Orange Grove Road across from Shangri-La Singapore. Its debut in Singapore is part of its expansion into Asia, which comes after the recently launched and award-winning The Standard, Bangkok.

11. The Singapore Edition — now open

Singapore is slated to be the location of Edition's first hotel in Southeast Asia. The 190-room property will be located in the heart of the downtown Orchard district, the most popular destination for retail and entertainment.

12. Pullman Singapore Hill Street - open now

Pullman Hotels & Resorts, a premium brand part of global hospitality player Accor, has opened Pullman Singapore Hill Street in downtown Singapore.
