Fast food chain McDonald’s has launched the new Rendang Sedap Angus Beef Burger in anticipation of National Day.

Priced at $6.95, the locally inspired burger features a 100 per cent Angus beef patty dipped in rendang sauce made from coconut milk, ginger, kaffir lime, lemongrass, onion, garlic and spices.

The patty is accompanied by a fried egg, sliced red onions, grilled caramelised onions, lettuce, and sesame seed buns.

The burger, which soft-launches today, will be officially available from 9 August after breakfast hours in all restaurants, as well as through McDelivery and Grab Food for a limited period only, while stocks last.

Customers can also enjoy the burger as part of the Rendang Sedap Feast priced at $10.90, which consists of a D24 Durian McFlurry, a pack of medium Criss Cut Fries, and a small Coke.

The rendang burger comes on the back of another locally inspired menu item rolled out by McDonald’s last month – the Ha Ha Cheong Gai burger.
