Gabrielle Union celebrates anniversary with Dwyane Wade: 'I love you, baby, forever'
Gabrielle Union is celebrating her forever love.
The 49-year-old shared an Instagram Reel on Tuesday to celebrate the eighth anniversary of her marriage to former professional basketball player Dwyane Wade. In the video, the "Bring It On" and "Cheaper By The Dozen" actress stitched together several photos and clips the couple took over the years, including footage from their wedding, fun clips from vacation and heartwarming family photos with their three-year-old daughter, Kaavia.
Over top of the video, Union included snippets of the couple's vows that they read to each other while tying the knot in 2014.
"Love is waking up to your smile," Wade, 40, is heard saying in the beginning of the video. "And as tough as I am, love is never wanting to go to sleep to your frown. Love isn't about how much we do. Love is about how much 'love' we put into what we do. Love isn't about winning; love isn't about losing. Love is simply about choosing — and I choose you."
Union added her own vows directly after her husbands, as vivid music built to a crescendo.
"So today, I vow to love you without conditions," she can be heard saying. "I vow to laugh with you and wipe your tears. I vow to be by your side though every twist and turn. I vow to be the woman you married and the woman that continues to grow and evolve into the woman that I always dreamed of being. I vow to change and adapt. I vow to commit to stay through the ups, the downs, the laughs and the frowns, the mis-dunks and the inevitable flunks. I will be there, loving you. I promise."
Along with the sentimental audio, Union wrote a touching caption on the post, showing that her love for Wade hasn't faded.
"It’s been eight years now married to my best friend, and a lifetime to go," she began in her caption. "There have been tears and tantrums, triumphs and tremendous gratitude of our love. I love your evolution and your readiness to look at yourself first before pointing any fingers. I love watching you throw caution to the wind and lead in ways we’ve never seen before. May this journey of ours always be filled with joy and laughter and compassion and grace. I love you, baby, forever. Happy anniversary."
Fellow celebrities and several fans commented on Union's post, with many wishing them a "happy anniversary" and others sharing their admiration for the duo.
"Thee power couple," commented "Too Hot to Handle" star Melinda Berry.
"Happy anniversary!" wrote "Hidden Figures" and "Ma" actress Octavia Spencer.
"Perfect couple," one fan added, along with several flame emojis.

Wade also made a series of posts this week on his own Instagram account, including one showing love to his wife's stunning beauty.
"Eight of them thangs already!? That’s the way 'our' love goes! Happy anniversary, G Mutha**** Union," Wade wrote in his caption.
Wade's post was also full of comments from fellow celebrities and fans sending their best wishes.
"Happy anniversary, you two! Enjoy! Cheers to the Wade-Union!" wrote "Half and Half" actress Essence Atkins.
"Happy anniversary. Cheers to many more," a fan commented, while adding a couple of red heart emojis.
