Baked feta pasta was all over TikTok in early 2021. Yes, this decadent dish went viral thanks to food blogger Yumna Jawad, creator of Feel Good Foodie. Now, she's back with a new twist on her mega-popular recipe: Baked feta pasta soup.

Just like baked feta pasta, "all you really need is some pasta, some tomatoes and feta cheese," Jawad tells Yahoo Life.

Intrigued? Here's what it takes to make the soup:

Start out by baking the tomatoes and a block of feta cheese at 400 degrees with one small diced onion and olive oil, along with the salt and pepper. Bake it for 35 to 40 minutes. "We just want to make sure that the tomatoes burst and that cheese gets nice and melty," Jawad says.

Once the mixture is cooked, pour it directly into a soup pot over low heat and flavor it with basil, thyme and crushed red pepper. Then, add the garlic. "Give it a good mix and let that garlic cook down and become fragrant, just for a minute," Jawad says.

Next, add the vegetable broth and cooked pasta. "It's ready as soon as it's warmed through," Jawad says. "The feta cheese becomes nice and melty in there — it almost becomes like a cream sauce."

Add a few extra sprinkles of feta and torn basil on top for the finishing touch.

Jawad says the end result is "so good," noting that the feta cheese is "nice and tangy and creamy, the tomatoes are tart and sweet, the pasta just gives it more heartiness... ." The best part? It's incredibly easy to make.
