Andy Lau celebrates 58th birthday with fans in Singapore

1 Oct – After canceling his birthday event back in August due to the Hong Kong protest, Andy Lau recently celebrated his special day with fans at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

As reported on Mingpao, the birthday celebration was a surprise for the singer, who seemed perplexed at first as the music suddenly changed while he was preparing to perform his song, "My Love".

Thousands of fans quickly stood up holding a placard with a heart symbol, while dancers came out with his birthday cake as they sang "Happy Birthday" together.

The singer also seemed touched as he held the cake in his hand, and expressed, "It's my birthday today. Thank you for coming and spending time with me."

"I have a wish. I hope that all of you who have attended these four concerts will be good friends forever," he said, adding that he would continue to perform until those who didn't get the chance to go to his concert would be able to experience it.

He then performed "The Moon Represents My Heart" to express his love for fans.

Prior to the surprise with fans, Andy, who turned 58 on 27 September, celebrated in the morning of his birthday with his concert team.
