A woman whose father arranged for her to receive flowers on her birthday every year after his death has written about her emotions upon receiving the final instalment in a post that went viral.

Bailey Sellers’ father Michael died when she was just 16 but before his death he arranged for flowers to be sent to her on every birthday until she was 21 with a personalised message.

Writing on Twitter, she said: “My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died he prepaid flowers so I could receive them every year on my birthday.

“Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy.”

The student from Knoxville, Tennessee said this year was especially tough as she knew it would be the last one.

She told the New York Post: “Ever since my dad passed away I’ve hated my birthday and I dread it every year because he always made it so special.
