Robber who barged into woman's home then sexually assaulted police officer is jailed
A sex attacker who broke into a woman's home then sexually assaulted a female police officer who tried to arrest him has been jailed for nine years.
Lemech Baldeo, 35, threw plant pots at the victim’s flat in Birmingham before barging his way inside and demanding cash before punching and biting her and pulling at her clothes.
The mother managed to get free and raise the alarm with neighbours who called the police.
But when two female officers arrested Baldeo he became abusive, kicking them and grabbing one between her legs.
The officers managed to put the 35-year-old in a police car where he racially abused them and headbutted one, leaving her with a split lip.

Baldeo, of Handsworth, admitted robbery, sexual assault, criminal damage, assault on emergency worker and racially-aggravated assault in connection with the incident on 28 April.
He was jailed for a total of nine years at Birmingham Crown Court and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.
Detective Constable Victoria Livingstone, of West Midlands Police, said: "This was a horrible series of crimes committed by a dangerous man who is now behind bars for a significant period of time.
"There was a sexual element running through all this which has not only resulted in a jail term, but Baldeo will also be monitored on the sex offenders register after he is released.
"We have also been able to offer support to the victim and to our officers who are now being able to move on from this harrowing experience."
