The developer has yet to issue a statement on the cancellation of the Spring Tour for Eastern Europe.
Many other sporting events have already cancelled or moved locations with the ongoing conflict in the region caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which started on Thursday (24 February) on the orders of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The 2021-2022 DPC season's Spring Tour is scheduled to take place from 14 March to 24 April. Epic Esports said in their statement that they will announce the new dates for Spring Tour in Eastern Europe soon.
The teams and players competing in the DPC's Eastern European regional league are comprised mainly of Ukrainians and Russians.
Team Spirit, the champions of The International 10 and the Winter Tour Regional Finals for Eastern Europe, have a roster that is comprised of two Ukrainian players and three Russian players.
