Dota 2 developer Valve Software announced on Thursday (27 October) that they will be giving players an Arcana, a Battle Pass, and one month of Dota Plus in celebration of The International 2022 (TI11), this year's iteration of the game's annual world championship tournament.

The free rewards come with The International 2022 Swag Bag, which will be available to all Dota 2 players that play or have played at least 10 matches during the current Battle Pass season.

It will then continue to be available to claim until the end of the season in January 2023.

"Our goal is to harness the excitement of The International Grand Finals and ensure that the days and weeks following the event's conclusion offer fans the very best time to play Dota," Valve said in the blog post announcing the giveaway.

Players who get the Swag Bag will be free to choose an Arcana to get from those available on the Dota 2 in-game store. Arcanas are among the rarest cosmetic items in the game, greatly changing a hero's appearance, animations, particle effects, and more.

The list of Arcanas players can get for free include:

  • Fiery Soul of the Slayer (Lina)

  • Blades of Voth Domosh (Legion Commander)

  • Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm (Terrorblade)

  • Swine of the Sunken Galley Arcana (Techies)

  • Demon Eater (Shadow Fiend)

  • Manifold Paradox (Phantom Assasin)

  • Frost Avalanche (Crystal Maiden)

  • Great Sage's Reckoning (Monkey King)

  • Bladeform Legacy (Juggernaut)

  • Feast of Abscession (Pudge)

  • The Magus Cypher (Rubick)

  • Flockheart's Gamble (Ogre Magi)

Unfortunately, the Battle Pass-exclusive Arcanas for Io, Earthshaker, Wraith King, Queen of Pain, Windranger, Spectre, Drow Ranger, and Faceless Void cannot be acquired for free through Swag Bag.

In addition to the free Arcana, players who get the Swag Bag will also get a Level 1 2022 Battle Pass, which will let them earn more in-game rewards like Immortals, Personas, and even the newest Arcanas for Faceless Void and Razor. Players who have already purchased the Battle Pass can redeem the free one given away to get 24 Battle Levels.

Lastly, the Swag Bag will also give players one month of Dota Plus, an in-game premium subscription service that gives subscribers access to quality-of-life features and other rewards.

TI11 is set to conclude with its Finals Weekend from 29 to 30 October in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Only four teams remain standing in contention for the coveted Aegis of Champions and the lion's share of the tournament's US$17.8 million prize pool: Western European powerhouses Team Secret, Tundra Esports, and Team Liquid as well as last standing Chinese representative Team Aster.

The penultimate day of TI11 on 29 October will kick off with the upper bracket finals between Team Secret and Tundra Esports, followed by the lower bracket semifinals between Team Liquid and Team Aster.

A new Dota 2 world champion will then be crowned on 30 October, which will start with the lower bracket finals followed by the best-of-five grand finals.
