The woman, named Aubrey, shared in a lengthy Facebook post claiming that she had received her wedding dress in the mail but was devastated to find that it was not at all like how it looked when she picked it out.

Watch this bland Brooklyn bedroom become a mid-century modern escape in just one day:

“I was really upset about the looks of it and sent an angry (okay, more like desperate) email to the company wanting to return it,” Aubrey wrote on Facebook. “I took pictures of me in the dress telling them it looked nothing like what I had ordered.”

If you think this is your run-of-the-mill bridezilla story, you’re wrong. The company replied to Aubrey’s email and pointed out that she had put on the dress inside-out.

“I received this response from the company, ‘you put the dress on inside out, please put it on the right way,'” she explained.

Fortunately, Aubrey was able to laugh about the incident immediately after it happened.

“Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much school we put behind us … we’re still going to lack common sense, like how to put clothes on properly,” she joked.

The post quickly went viral on Facebook with hundreds of people commenting and asking Aubrey questions about how this even happened to her. Aubrey replied that it was a mix of her long work hours, her lack of fashion knowledge and the fact that her husband was the one who had laced her up.

“I was more desperate to hear back and upset, than angry…..it’s a whirlwind of emotions when you think your wedding dress is a disaster,” she added.

“Does it count as bad luck if the groom sees it inside out?” someone commented.

“I’m dying that this has made it around the world!!!!” another said.

As for wedding advice to any other brides who are ordering dresses online because of the pandemic, Aubrey said: “Live. Laugh. Love. Apologize. [And] ask your bridesmaids to lace you up not your husband.”
